First of all do only gobblers drum?
Today is the first day of youth season, and so far we have had a kid take a sot at 60 yards at a bird and compleatly miss, then chased the birds right through my "Hunting by permission only" signs over to where I hope to hunt when the regular season opens.
Hopefully when I get a chance to hunt the birds are not too skiddish. When I was a kid i only hunted regular seasons, and dident take irrisponcible shots, I just don't get these kids.

was the kid in an open field, sometimes 60 doesn't look that far with no trees to judge. Unfortunetly i have been there.

Well atleast he completely missed instead of wounding it.

NEKVT

I agree that was my first thought, atleast they dident wound the bird that I know of.

Back to part of the question ...do only gobblers Drum?

spltlim

find out who the kid is, and take him under your wing and show him how to do things the right way

NEKVT

well, they were not only kids as our youth season requiers atleast 1 adult with them. So an adult was heling out with all this.
