Well the two birds I saw last night were not toms but there were 2 toms gobbling on the other side of the field. I got out of the blind and grabbed the Jake Mobile and hen decoy. I put them 75 yards from the deer trail I thought the birds might come down because I could not get closer. I was 60 yards form the trail. At fly down 2 hens flew out. One 100 yards from the decoy and the other was gone. I kept and eye on the trail and out stepped a tom. He was in the field 10 feet and looking at the decoys. He did not strut or gobble, but turned back into the woods. 10 min later I was able to see a tom at 114 yards out walking across the field all alone. I yelped a few soft times and he would go half strut but kept walking. 5 minutes later another tom came out at 114 yards. He gobbled 2 times at me but never strutted. He had a hen with him and they crosses the field. I am a little surprised the first tom did not come to the decoys and that they did not strut in the open field for the decoys or the one hen they had with them. Tomorrow I will be in the blind on the little ridge in the field that they walked on today. I think they are wimps so I am getting rid of the tail fan and using the Jake mobile without it and 2 hens.
