I posted this several weeks ago, and no one had tried them, but I am still curious if anyone has tried the KENT 5 star Penetrator loads yet?

I have not, but I would like to try a box.

Well I sent kent an email yesterday digging for a little more info before I sent time and money. Not really looking to replace my Hevi shot just maybe find a back - up. I was asked to share any info I received here by 870 so here are the emails and patterns Linda sent me.

Good morning,

I have recently seen advertised your new turkey ammunition, the kent five star penetrator. I was wonder if you could provide me with some additional information about the load, ie. What kinds of patterns were produced during testing with turkey choke tubes? Is the tungsten based shot 12g/cc like most other Hevishot?

Are there plans to extend the line to say 6x6 shot if it becomes popular?

Thank you for any info provided,

Nathan Shearer

Nathan....tungsten matrix is in no way like Hevi-shot.  It will shot just like lead and choke like lead.   I have some patterns shot in the field by one of our representatives that I will send along so you can see his results.
In my mind, the best way to describe patterns is for you to see them for yourself.

Plans to expand the line are not being considered at this time since we must see first how the consumer accepts the most popular sizes 5X5

All patterns are with the 3" 1-7/8th oz. load

1.   Beneli M2  w/ Primos Jellyhead Choke at 40 yds
2.   Beneli SBE II w/ Indian Creek Down and Dirty Choke  at 40yds
3.   Mossberg 835  w/ Hunter Specialties Undertaker Choke at 40yds.

Well OG is being crazy picky as I've already resized the pictures like 4 times and they are plenty small enough but still yelling at me. I will post and keep working on the photos for you 870

Note: I didn't post these in the patterning section because these are more of informative photos I didn't shoot them myself. Its hard to tell the exact size of the targets and what is a 10in circle.

Thanks for the info! Looks like there may be some potential.

That looks pretty good especially for the 5s
