Turkey season just came in last Saturday for us North Carolinians. I have been four days in a week, and I haven't heard the FIRST gobble. I've talked to my friends who all turkey hunt as well and THEY haven't heard gobbles either. (We are seeing hens, jakes, and gobblers on trail cams and have seen a few walking in fields). You can't get these turkeys to shock gobble with an owl call, crow call, fly down cackle, NOTHING! My friends seem to think it is because we had warm weather early and they did the majority of their gobbling and breeding before NC Turkey season came in. Your thoughts and suggestions? I've tried all the tactics I know, and I am FRESH out of ideas........
