There are a lot of opportunities for hunting suburban turkeys. I am lucky to have access to my family farm ground and several other prime agricultural turkey hunting properties...but I have three places I hunt that are more suburban...one parcel is a house and 20 acres, the other a house , barns, horse pens and 20 acres, the other a big home on a 120 tract owned by the President of a company that hunts deer on it but not turkeys.
On the one 20 acre place the other day the landowner , who is a friend same age as I am, enjoyed drinking his morning coffee while the grandsons shot two toms...he watched with his binoculars and came out and congratulated the boys when we were done...fun morning. These birds are wild birds...they roost on farm ground and come into these pastures to feed.
We just set up about 200 yards away from the homes and are set up to shoot away from them...works well for us and is safe.
