Ronnie and I are gonna try and video some hunts this year so I am trying to learn my camera. This was around a 1000 yards away so the quality is not great but I was pleased at the detail from this distance.There is one Long beard a Jake and 9 or 10 hens. Dang I cant wait till Spring!!!!!!!

Nice video. I hope they wern't seeing you from 1000 yards away and running like that. Also you need to get a tripod. It makes filming so much better. I agree tic toc.

That's pretty cool! Looks like a pretty good camera to be able to zoom in that far and not be distorted really bad. I cant wait to see what you guys put on film. You guys sure know how to strike up the warm and fuzzies.

Nah, we didn't run them off, we were incognito at the time, not sure what spooked them, they came back in less than ten minutes.

Chris is working with Stephan on getting the best tripod for our needs, we should have everything together by head stoppin time.   :z-guntootsmiley:

David, the camera I have is a Canon VIXIA HF S20. I just got it a few weeks ago and have a lot to learn about this thing.

Was that all 10x optical zoom from that distance, or was there digital zoom as well.
