While it doesn't take a lot of pellets to the head to kill a bird, #2's are pretty risky for turkeys. You probably won't want to shoot more than a full choke either. Also, a lot of time, when you pull up to shoot a goose it is closer than when most hunters shoot their turkeys. Its kind of the ego's between the two sports. Goose hunters want the black feet down, in the spread, and on top of them, while a lot of turkey hunters only care to get the bird within 45 yards and the gun goes off. Spend the 25 bucks a year and stay with the tukrey loads.
