My 7 yr olds first bird ever,Iowa youth season!!!!

My son and i took advantage of Iowas youth season after years of waiting for him to be where i thought ready. We spent part of the prior afternoon setting blinds out on my brothers farm in NE Iowa and he was so excited for the next morning to come. He was up before the alarm even went off. We set up and had 2 different toms working at the same time in different directions and 1 ended up being unlucky after he made a great shot. What a text book hunt. Done by 7 on opening morning. Would have loved for it to last longer,but perfect for his first time out. After he shot he asked if we could go get another one.haha.. Have to keep him wanting... I never thought id ever surpass the feeling i had when i bagged my first gobbler many years ago until sharing in his. I cant wait to take him again!!!!
