This mornin me and my son hooked up with Arra. We heard a faint gobble way of at daylight and decided to move on and hit another spot. The second spot left us in disbelief we just hadnt heard anything. So on to the third spot we listened awhile and decided to move into a bottom and setup and do a little calling. Atfer 30-45 minutes we hear a gobble back to our left up a little creek.To get in a better position Blane moves up next to Brandon (behind me) Were in the game! A few minutes go by and no more gobbles despite a few calls and to our right we hear a turkey fly the creek.Shortly we see turkeys moving through the woods. As they get closer we identify them as jakes; I hear Brandon ask Blane if he wants to shoot one and he replies not really.
Blane passed several jakes last season and didnt get a bird so it was time to get the monkey off of his back. I tell Blane kill one of them turkeys!!
Him and Brandon pick one and Booom!!!
