Does anyone know why Cabelas is selling the high velocity flight control shells so cheap. 11.99 per box when the 2.25 oz load is 19.95. Just curious if you guys had heard about this. :thanks:
Jakes are like scotch. They are not worth a darn until they age.

Just a guess, but I'd imagine Cabela's got a better price on the 2 ounce loads due to volume buying.

An extra quarter ounce of lead in the 2.25 ounce shells hardly justifies an extra $8.00 per box over the 2 ounce loads.

I'm betting the 2.25 ounce loads were bought in a smaller quantity, or we bought later after ammo prices increased.

Either way, those shells will probably give you fits due to the Flite Control Wad.   I've wasted countless hours of my time and ammo trying to get those FCW shells to pattern in my gun.

I gave up after testing 7 different chokes and sold my remaining stash of the ammo.

Cabelas does that a lot.  They will even change the sale prices for the same shell in different shot sizes, also.
