It is a tempered glass that is very hard to with stand a outdoor abuse of trailers and motor homes on rough roads. It has the same kind of tinting that your autos have. That temp[ering is why bronze glass has a highest pitch to it of all the glasses

Cold or pot swelling is an isolated occurrence. I don't even know anyone personally this has happen to.
