Went to my uncles house in Simpsonville SC, he does'nt turkey hunt, but he went with me. We heard 4 birds on the limb, went to one and could'nt do much with him. We went to one that was gobblin a little on his own. Closed the distance to 80yds and set down, I yelped he gobbled, we waited 5 mins and the bird gobbled at 150yds goin straight away, I cutt and he gobbled back at 80yds...this goin back and forth went on for 30 mins. The last time he gobbled at 150yds, we moved 50yds closer and cutt....bird gobbled 30 steps away behind some river canes and strutted into view BOOOOM!! Little did we know, there were 2 birds gobblin!!!! Weight 17.6lbs, beard 10"@heavy, spurs 1"and very sharp. We had a great mornin together and an awesome hunt! Thats another gobbler for the MERO trumpet.
