Mississippi Public Land Gobbler.....DEAD!

Heard about all of the hype, had to give it a try.

The nearest MS. WMA is only about a 2 1/2 hour drive from the house, so after acquiring the necessary paper work, license & maps yesterday I was set and ready to go.

Headed out early this morning not really knowing what to expect but was optimistic and I must say excited to hunt new ground. Since our birds seem to be in a lull right now I figured what the heck.

Long story short, he gobbled, I did this, he did that, etc, etc,......DEAD turkey!

I probably got lucky, Mississippi public land beginners luck I guess. Sure was fun, I'll do it again for sure.

Joe, I hung my rain suit up on the back porch when I got home, it was soaked, didn't notice the blood on the pants until after you mentioned it.
