What size wood screw and what size spring is appropriate for call use? Where do you buy your springs and what are the sizes?

Sizes can vary from maker to maker. I use a 1.5" #8 wood screw. I buy my springs from Custom Sawing. Another great source for springs is Dad's Custom calls. A lot of makers use the springs from Dad's.

I use a #8 1 1/4" screw and I buy my springs from ace hardware, they have all different sizes and I usually buy the long springs and cut them in half.
