...another one bites the dust!

Well, we had another successful weekend with the funest bird of them all... a hard gobbling 2 year old public land turkey!  It just don't get much better! Not much to him, 9 in beard and 3/4 inch spurs, but boys did he ever put on a show!  We had 3 in this area roosted from the evening before and so I knew right where to be come gobbling time!  He never stopped gobbling from the time he started, 'til I pulled the trigger!  A beautiful sight, him coming down that old dim log road gobbling and strutting and steam coming out of his mouth every time he gobbled! I set up very tight on him and when he flew down I only made one series of yelps, right after he let out a gobble on his on, to let him know where I was and that I was interested and that's all it took!
