I have seen the good/bad lot numbers for the 7s.  How bout the good/bad lot numbers for the 2.25 ounce 3.5 6's

I haven't seen and difference in the 3/2/6's or 3/2/7's. The 3.5/7's have some bad lot #s. Havent heard anything about the 3.5/6's.

Shot 2 out of 300505 today. PG670 193/10/40.  SSX 216/10/40. velocity of these 2 shots was 1283 and 1298 fps. I am concerned about this velocity as it is very high. I shot other shells thru my chrono today also that are right on so I know the chrono is good. The recoil on these shots was very severe. I am shooting 870SM 23".

870 sm, 23" polished barrel, .660 jelly head choke. measured 40yds and 10" circle. 300549 and 300752 were ordered this year.

Well my six boxes of shells and Indian Creek .665 came today. The lot numbers on all six boxes were 300756....hope its a good one I havent seen it listed on here yet....I am just glad it is not 300549

Are there any bad lot #s of 20 gauge #6  in 3" loads?

Shot the new loads today and dissapointed. Clean SBE 2 24 inch barrel brand new out of the box .665 Indian Creek Choke. Best pattern was a 167 in the 10" worst was 145 in the 10". The wierd thing was that the first shot was the 145 with the clean barrel and the last shot was the 167, it was like the dirtier the barrel got the better patterns were, like it needed to be seasoned. I did have a few 3.5 H13 7's left from last year and got 276 and 288 in the 10" circle.
On one board I counted 164 in the 10" , 292 in the 20", with a total of 362 on a 4x4 sheet of cardboard. I always thought that there was usually 425-450 #6 pellets in 2.25 oz of shot, I cant imagine almost a hundred pellets did not even hit the board. Like some one in another post said ..there was a considerable amount of recoil that with the sevens...did they lighten the load and speed them up? I wish I would have brought some extended range to try with the new combo.  With all that said I am just going to stick with this set up just because the patterns were very even..., my POI matched my POA , and I bought six boxes

Lets hear your thoughts on the amount of shot and recoil as well as the patterns improving as the barrel was getting dirtier

Your choke probably just needs to break in a little.

Last year was my first Season with Hevi-13, and I only had 1 box of 3.5 2.25 #6's to try, as I bought mostly 7's and went with them.

Although after shooting the 1 box of 3.5 2.25 #6's, lot # 300513, I was impressed and decided to switch to them this year as I was getting anywhere from 190-210 in the 10 @ 40.

Fast forward to this year bought 5 boxes of the same exact load 3.5 2.25 #6's, although a different lot# 300787, and was not that impressed as my numbers dropped off in the 150-160 range in the 10 @ 40.

Rather than mess around, I decided to go with them anyways, even though the #'s dropped off. But now my next dilemma, I had to buy a few more boxes to make sure I have enough for the Season, and again they are a different lot# 300756.

I still have to shoot a couple of the new lot#'s 300756 to compare? But I can tell you one thing? If this new lot # drops off even more than the last lot, or if my POI changes, I will not be shooting Hevi-13 next Season, just too much money to be constantly changing and checking things? hopefully they do not change for the worst, but I can only hope better?

Hey Cutt I feel your pain. Let me know how you make out with that lot number. I am sticking with these shells and think I may get better numbers as my choke breaks in. I know it's a dead turkey but for price I expect a little better from hevi shot

lot numbers with the hevi-13 vary to much for the price now. I think hevi-13 needs to do a little more research on there loading for true pattern numbers to stay up.
