TC Encore 12 gauge scope base ?

I'm thinking of putting a FF2 on my encore and was seeing that I needed a big honking scope base that's different from regular encore barrels . From what I seen the scope base made for the 12 gauge barrels look like really long . Is this correct or do I use the regular one ?

Its the only one I know of for the 12Ga.
