We all know how the old lot HS shoots. We all are finding out how the new lot HS shoots. I have dissected both a #6 and #7 (new lots) and the wad is definitely different. The old lot stuff had I believe a long B&P wad and we all had provem combos that worked. With the new wad in the new stuff has anyone found a proven combo. My gun liked the old stuff with a PG670 and the new stuff does not appear to like this choke as much although the #7 was acceptable. My gun is 870SM 23"

I have a stash of the old stuff (#6's)that I use in my 20ga
the little 20 really likes them
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

I got some new stuff really cheap, with shipping and not counting the rebates $2.00 a shell. Must be fair the new is 12GA 3" 1 5/8 #6 the old was 3" 2oz #7. Didn't even count all the shots in a 10" circle, but counted the shots in the brain and spine of a turkey target and it provided consistant kills @ 40 yards. But it wasn't as good as I would like. I will hold my shots down to no more than 35 yards. Have 4 boxes of 7's left but will save them for my daughter to use.
