Beretta 686 Onyx O/U...

Well guys, I got me a new turkey rig..... kinda...  Its my fathers turkey gun.  Im stoked. .  Its a Beretta 686 Onyx w/ 28" barrels.  I love this gun.  It points so well and natural for me.  My dad has taken a many a longbeard with it and now its been passed down to me...  Daddy always shot plain ol copper coated lead out of it.  I put a Beretta XF .680 in the bottom barrel and have a Benelli/Beretta .665 in the top barrel for the time being.  I also picked up some Hevi 3" MagBlends for it today!  Both barrels are same poi/poa.  I think I am going to tote it this thur for our Mississippi Opener.

sportsman, i am in a similar situation as i have inherited my fathers camo citori with 3.5 in chambers and 26'' barrel. i have not tested it yet to check poa\poi of barrels. it is a bit heavier tha some of my other turkey rigs but i love the way it feels and shoulders. this is my first invector plus gun and ordered some chokes earlier. gonna stick with 3'' shells. if anyone runs a citori some hints,tips, shell and choke combo info. would be great. i always liked the 686s as well they are a fine shooting iron.

I run a citori 3.5 also. Am currently using briley 675 tubes in both barrels. I have a modified briley that I sometimes use in one barrel for close shots. My son and I have killed about 15 with it the last few years and have made some long kills using winchester extended range 6's, but it does not put up the high pellet count on paper some guys are getting with mossbergs. It is my favorite gun though. What chokes did you get?

couple of carlsons and a pure gold. i too am a win er #6 fan. im gonna try these wins. and some handloads of 15g. #7. did both barrels of your citori shoot poa\poi. im gonna try to make my top barrel long range and bottom barrel "red zone". thanks for your reply as u dont see much info. on o\u's

What exit diameters on those chokes did you get?

The pure gold is. 670 and the carlsons is sporting clays model but can't remember diameter. I shot it today with flush full at30yds. With 3in #6 lead xx win. I shot twice and both were dead on windage but 12" high which was totally disappointing. It was an even and  overall great pattern though.don't know where I'm gonna go with it but try some different chokes and shells and hope I can bring poi to poa. I like to shoot the bead and don't want to install sights or red dots. Any thoughts,remedy,ideas, etc.....
