Spalted maple one-sider

This spalted maple one-sider with purpleheart paddle was a donated call.  I cut the sugar maple down in 2006 and started this call in 2009.  When my Dad unexpectedly passed in 2009 this call was shelved because I thought it would go to him.  Dad was a big fan of the JAKES program and the time was right to finish this call.  I try to go from log to call as much as possible and this was a special build for me.  The calling side has my checking on it and signed on the bottom.  Other than that, I wanted to let the wood stand out.  The call went very well and I think Dad would be proud.  My camera isn't the best so the picture doesn't do the spalting justice.  Thanks for the look!
