I have Masterbuilt smoker. Get several different types of wood to try. Hickory and Apple are my favorites. There is a cook book called "Dadgum That' Good" that has some good recipes in it. You need to try the smoked mac and cheese, it's great.

Apple, Hickory and Mesquite are the most popular woods to use in a smoker.  If you can get some, Pecan wood is also very good!

A water pan is a good tool for keeping the smoker from drying stuff out.  A little beer in the water pan is a good thing :)
