New to the OldGobbler forum, and saying Hello form California. Looks to be a very active forum. I'd say I'm new to turkey hunting, about 4 years. I've been a waterfowler and big game hunter for 40 years. First year turkey hunting was a public land hunt that lasted about 30 minutes. Hunted one day that season- but the hook was set. Had a 2 year old strut in to about 10 yards, and my gun was cross ways on my lap. He didn't get away, but it wasn't pretty. Have put in over 20 days per season the last 3 years. The learning curve is still steep, but I guess that's what I'm enjoying the most.
This forum has lots of good information and fun reading already. Hope to be able to contribute- learn, laugh and share. Good luck to all this season- Doug
