i want to bore sight my new sights with bird loads at 20 yards...but its kinda windy...should I proceed?

Flyrodder

Bore sighting to me is looking through the bore and aligning the sights to what you see through the bore. At 20 yds in windy conditions, I think the hardest part is keeping the target from blowing away. I don't think it will effect the poi of the shot at 20yds.

I would wait for better condition. Might get better results.

I would wait to a better day. With my 835 and red dot, I sighted in with cheaper high power pheasant ammo with # 6 lead shot. I am shooting Mag blends for turkey. Got the pattern to POA/POI with those and only had to use 3 mag blend shells to dial her in. made shot adjust sight, and continue. if i remember correct only a little in up and down adjustment no L to R
