I wonder if Nanchez didn't get some closeouts or something from a distributor and that is why they didn't just take care of it. Looking on their site they have very few Federal products listed, and no turkey shells at all?? Passing the buck to the manufacturer is uncommon, Sanchez should have taken them back and dealt with it themselves. They should have a lot more pull when it comes to things like this, but that might not be the case if they are buying them from a discount wholesaler. To me it seems a bit fishy.
One question is when did you send them in, if it was after Nashville that isn't that long. They don't have small # of sku's like Hevi or Nitro, and if their lab is busy testing their shells that could potentially save a soldier or police officer that is a better use of resources IMO.

I have used Federal shotgun shells for over 35 years and never had a problem at any time
this going on here is exactly why I will not order ANY kind of ammo over the internet, you have no idea what you are getting
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

Think I'd find another brand to switch to and save the aggravation.

Well, I emailed Federal the evening this was originally posted, just to see what would happen and I posted the link to this thread.
This is the response I got today, and the original email below it:

I would like to hear your side of the story on this issue with your shells.

I feel you will have a great opportunity to either present the actual facts, or make restitution in a satisfactory manner. Regardless, I would think it will be a win/win for all.
Thank you for your help in resolving this situation.
God Bless,

So is it being handled or not?
God Bless,

I feel for you. federal heavyweight is expensive stuff. I shoot em in my Benelli. They do have issues with crimps and buffer coming out. I had a bad lot of ammo and sent emails, and left phone messages for 3 weeks and finally got a returned email. Their customer service sucks.
Sorry about those 5 little turds in a box.
Glad they were not a present.
