What is the difference between a 3 MOA and a 5MOA red dot?

It is the size of the dot.  3 MOA is smaller

ray is correct...MOA. unit of angular measurement...3 moa 3 " dot @100 yards..8 moa..8" @100 and so on...hope this helps...lol
