Would like you opinions, including the pros and cons, of two different setups in my Beretta Extrema. The first setup is a Hevi-Shot tube shooting Nitro 4x5x7. At 40 yards, the combo will put 283 pellets in a 10" circle and at 50 yards, it will put 131 in the same circle. The second setup is an Indian Creek tube shooting Winchester Extended Range #6. At 40 yards, I put 196 pellets in a 10" circle and at 50 yards, it will put 100 in the same area.
While not fond of long shots, I often find myself hunting fields where I can misjudge a bird fairly easily. I also wonder what the increase in costs associated w/ hevishot is going to do for the price of Nitros. Provided, I have about equal coverage in all my patterns at the two distances, which combo would you recommend and why?
