Quote from: Neill_Prater on February 24, 2012, 07:58:14 PMOkay, I know for most of us dreams are like wisps of smoke, difficult to capture, but I'm curious how often others actually remember dreaming about turkey hunting? I know I do with some regularity. The scenarios involved are never, at least the parts I remember, much like any actual hunt I've been on, but I sometimes know I'm hunting in a place I've never been, often with a current or former hunting comanion. Often the theme seems to be that something is going wrong. I've overslept, or the vehicle gets stuck in the mud, or some other obstacle to me spending the day afield seems to crop up. Night before last, I remember hearing a turkey gobble in two completely different dreams. In one, I was in a tracked vehicle of some kind in a large forest, and heard a bird gobble nearby. In another, I was in an urban setting, and a turkey gobbled and flew into a vacant lot. These are the first times I can ever recall where I actually heard a gobble. Gee, I sure hope it is a good omen for the upcoming season!
