Hooks Custom Mouth Calls

Read a ton of great reviews on these calls so I decided to order a couple. I "thought" I order 1 executioner and 1 Sassy Gal 2. I must have accidentally clicked the quantity button 2 times on the executioner because I recieved 2 of them...o well! I was a bit dissapointed with the size of the exectutioner. I read that people ask for large tape so I decided to do that for the Sassy Girl 2 and liked that size much better. I took it out of the box and was really pleased with this call. Unfortunately the next night when I went to play with call again the latex seemed almost "over stretched?" Has anyone had this problem with these calls? Order 3 calls and can't really use any of them

The tape is a good bit small than most, I love it and take every other call i get and trim them down to the same size as my hooks but some guys like more tape.

what do you mean by over stretched like the call sound is alot different? too high? too raspy? are you sure the reeds aren't just sticking together

rinse them off in some water and non alcohol mouthwash, pat dry with a paper towl and give them a try again.

I personally havent experienced that from their calls (I've probably been thru 25-30 of them over the last few years) but who knows. Maybe post up some pics of the latex stretch you're talking about and you can get some feedback a little easier.

sounds like reeds were stuck together.run them for alittle bit and they will break loose.did you leave them out at room temp or have them in a fridge?
