Tick repellant question

With us having a mild winter I expect the ticks to be bad what's a good tick repellant to put on my cloths?

It's called permethrin. I know Repel makes it. I believe it was originally developed for the Army. You spray it on your clothes and let it dry. It should last a couple of washings and then you re treat it. Good stuff.

Permethrine is by far the best thing I have used. It does not just repel ticks it kills them.

and mosquitos hate it along with knats/flies...no need for a Thermacell I don't use anything but permethrin...just spray everything...I even spray my vest just so I don't bring any into the car...pretty much if I wear it I spray it...

Premithin, works great.
I have watched ticks climb on my trousers and all of a sudden start dancing like they have a hotfoot and fall over and die.  The stuff works great.

Actually that is false and a common misconseption.  Permethrin is absorbed through the skin , metabolised in the body and excreted through the kidneys as harmless waste in your urine.  As a Nurse, I have treated patients with Scabies (skin rash causing mites that burrow under the skin) and you litterally have to slather a 5% strength permethrin ointment from head to toe to kill of the mites so a measly 2.5% mix that you spray on your clothes won't hurt you one little bit.   Alot of issues that arose way back when, when th Military Grade sprays hit the open market was from the addatives that were known to cause cancer.  Agent Orange ring a bell?  Leave it to the military to use crap that makes their soldiers sick huh?  I am a combat vet btw so I have !st hand experience in that department...
