Fastfire location?

Ok,  I have the 11-87....Fastfire, guard & mount are enroute....once they get here and I get ready to have the receiver drilled & tapped where exactly is the optimum place to mount the sight on the receiver? Front, back or center? 

I assume near the rear of the reciever since the steel is thicker there.  Is this correct?

I hate to keep asking questions but I want it to be right and look nice since I will have this thing a long time.
