After reading the replys to my post about out of state hunting I'm about to get the fever again.
So what's your favorite out of state hunt and why?
Thanks!!

Black Hills of South Dakota....

The solitude, loads of wildlife, and beautiful country.

We have other places in other states a lot closer where we can hear more and kill more turkey, but I have to choose the Black Hills just for the overall experience.

runngun

Oklahoma, cause they got a few turkeys.
Blessed are the peacemakers for they are the children of God.

TRKYHTR

KY I called in or had a hand in 7 turkey deaths in 2 days.

TNTOM

North central NE.  Tons of birds and you can take more than one per day.

If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!

South Dakota, either the prairie or the Black Hills. At one time, in the not so distant past, it was Missouri.

Same for me. It's prime run-n-gun country!

Has to be New Mexico for me....I love the solitude of 10,000 feet up in the Rocky's in the ponderas pines with Merriam's screaming across the mountains.

I really need to branch out this year....

I've been all across the south but never been anywhere that I felt was just absolutely beautiful and always wanted too. Every year I say I'm going to but then end up chasing the local (relatively speaking) birds all season.

neal

NE if you do it right you can kill 6 birds on one trip, and multiple per day.

Black Hills of South Dakota  , it was neat to have Mt Rushmore in the background of the  turkey photo, such Beautiful country. I loved Deadwood, you could also go to Sturgis, the Badlands,Crazy Horse, Custers National park and we went to a dig site for the woolly mammoth. The only down side is you could only harvest 1 turkey unless you got a prairie tag.

WOW ... such great ideals!!! If I only had the time and the $$$$$ ....LOL
