Are there any factory loads in 20ga that will take turkeys to 30 yrds in 2 3/4 shells?

This 2-3/4" 20 gauge shell should meet your criteria.

These shells will deliver a good killing shot at the ranges that you have mentioned. Use a non-ported choke tube and you are good to go.

Good luck.

Do a search in this section for Fed HW 2 3/4 and you will find my patterns with that load and and a few chokes. It is a very good load out to 30 yds.

Sent from my tweaked out EVO!

I'd buy a few boxes at a time....they get real hard to find during season.

Just Google the product number and find the best deals online. Getting several boxes helps dissipate the cost of shipping.

Once you get the shells, use this. http://www.federalpremium.com/pdf/FP703_2012TurkeyRebateCoupon.pdf

That should get you set up. Don't forget the non-ported choke tube. Also, welcome to Old Gobbler.

Cheers!  ;D

Gramps

Thanks for the info. I have a 2 3/4" chambered 20 gauge as well and was getting ready to ask the same quesion. I am new to turikey hunting and don't want to buy another shotgun until I see if I enjoy it.

Gramps,  I have harvested several Toms, all of them with an old  Ithaca 37 featherlight 2 3/4 inch 20ga. Just gotta get them close.
