If you make calls, what is your go-to call? If possible, post a picture and the call combination you prefer.

misfire

Here is my "go to" call, copper!!!! Unfortunately, I sold this one, as well as the one I hunted with last year too. Planning on making a few more in the next week or so

Pray as if everything depends on God, work like everything depends on you

2014 Midwest 3rd place pot call
2015 Midwest 5th place HM Tube call

magnoliagamecalls

Mine is a Mesquite slate over glass.  Top call all the way to the right and the hickory striker right by it.  The other two are the ones on the left of it are a Ambrosia Maple double sided call, and a Walnut Burl ceramic. (the bottom call was made of Magnolia it went to a young man just starting out)

I have NO idea what a "Go To" call is.

#1 would be a Curly Maple Crystal call with purpleheart soundboard and either a Purpleheart or Ivory tipped Cocobolo striker and #2 would be a ceramic.

This year I am on a mission bring in all the birds I call in using an aluminum call.

bbcustomboxcalls

I have a couple of go to calls that I use.  I really like box calls and thats what I use about 65% of the time but when old tom just doesn't want to take those last few steps I will pull out my frying pan copper call and use that to seal the deal.

Here is the box I use its Purpleheart/Mahogany.

The pot call is Zebrawood frying pan with a Zebrawood striker.

For me, it's my old trusty black walnut box call I built years ago from an old tree on my grandfathers place. The wood has some sentimental value to me and it just cant make a bad sound. I've changed up the design of my calls since then but I just love this box. The pot call pictured is a lacewood call I built about 5 years ago and have had some great luck with also.
