MY SON BUILT HIS FIRST TURKEY CALL!!!

My 15 year old started showing some interest in building turkey calls so I encouraged him to give it a try. We started with a scratch box made from cedar and black walnut. I explained to him the importance of safety and how to use the equipment then supervised him during the cutting and shaping the call. I thought he did a really great job and the call turned out great. Sounds really good too. Hopefully he can call one in with it next month.

Now instead of just hanging out with dad in the shop, maybe I will have a partner in call making. (If he can leave the girls alone for a little bit )
