Stoeger M2000, 24" barrel different chokes different shells. all 40yd laser ranged

Sumtoy 650 Hevi #7 3" shell 58 degrees

Sumtoy 650 Hevi #6 3" shell 58 degrees

Sumtoy 670 Hevi #7 3" shell 58 degrees

Different Day

Sumtoy 670 Hevi #7 3" shell 58ish degrees

Sumtoy 670 Hevi #7 3" shell, 2nd shot

Sumtoy 670 Hevi #6 3"

Sumtoy 670 Hevi #6 3" 5th shot (not a good cleaning job between shots)

IC 665 Hevi #7 (last shot of the day, again only used a bore snake between shots)

From last year

IC 665 Winchester Xtended range #6 3" dont remember the temp

IC 665 Hevi #7 3" first shot from the gun and choke

IC 665 Hevi Magblend, 3rd shot of the day only used bore snake...had 1 better then this but dont have a pic of it

I also had some using a Pure Gold 670 but it was not as good as either of these 2 so i sold it, was not bad though and was huntable without a doubt. Have a Hevi Shot choke now to try so i will post those when i can shoot them.

surehuntsalot

any one of them will work
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

Those are great patterns.  I didn't have any luck with the 3-2-7's in my M2000.  POI was about a foot lower than the 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 H13-6's and my gun wouldn't cycle the 3-2-7's either.

All of them will kill a Gobbler :icon_thumright:

I am surprised at your Win xr pattern, they shoot very tight and uniform out of my Stoeger.
Must be the choke. I just can not believe, our guns are that much different.
Tommy

well it is prob a combination of the choke i had (IC 665) and the fact that they were the last shell i fired for that day and only used a bore snake inbetween shots.

I actually still have a few left i may shoot them again.

here is the new hevi 656 choke, numbers are good but has some holes

Looks like you are liking the Stoegers.  Now which one to use?

Currently it's easy choice because the 3500 doesn't have a pistol grip but if Benelli is right and one will be out by April then the choice is much harder lol

knightrider

looks good ren they better hide their noggins :OGturkeyhead:

I've been debating on my next gun choice and had been wondering how good people were doing with their Stoegers as turkey sticks and now I'm seeing there's not a whole lot to worry about. Very impressive patterns. Those toms don't stand a chance.
