I get 250 in 10 @ 40 with a 870sm and .660 JH and 3.5 inch Hevi 6's. I do have my forcing cone lengthened though. 24" barrel.

My 870 hates the Jellyhead .665. I'm shooting a Indian creek .665 get great lead numbers.
Then try the Jellyhead .660

No need I'm shooting the Indian creek tube. Haven't had a turkey complain yet.

I don't shoot shoot Hevi shot. Lead and Winchester Extended range.

Rhino will send him the .665 if he requests it.  I'm quite certain he'll be more than impressed with his numbers after you polish the barrell and he gets the new choke.  Also, have him stick with the Mag Blends with that combination.

QuoteWhat do you guys think about Indian Creek .665 for the 870?

I really like the Indian Creek .665 in RemChoke.  It has outperformed everything else I've tried in my 3" 870 with 28" barrel.

3" 1.75 Oz. Hevi13 #6 = 155
3" 2 Oz. Magnum Blend = 190 at 60 Degrees
3" 2 Oz. Hevi 13 #7 = 294
3" 1.75 Oz. Win XRHD #6 = 194
3" Win Sup HV #5 Lead = 116

***And my Stainless Steel Indian Creek .665 in INV+ has flat smoked my RemChoke numbers.***

I get an average of 336 to 358 with my 870 sm 23in barrel @ 40 with 3.5 2.1/4 oz. #7s with a IC 665. But as stated before all guns are different..

In my 870, Jellyhead chokes didn't come close to matching a Briley Hevi-Shot choke that wasn't ported... to the tune of about 80 extra pellets at 40 yards.  Have to get them from Briley's website.

I'm looking at picking up a new choke for my new (to me) 870 super mag.  The only Jellyheads I've been able to find are the .665's.

I dont really feel like spending the money on something that I know the same amount of money I could have gotten something better.. Is this is the best option??

JH .665 works great for me.
