Yall Beard hunters or spur hunters? I myself, LOVE some long spurs. I feel like I did something tangling with an old long spurred bird.

If I had a choice, I would take spurs.

Spurs are the first thing that catch my eye, second the beard and third weight.
Now this is after its dead, when there coming in usually the beard is the deciding factor unless I happen to notice the spurs. But I don't get to picky as long as its mature enough to have all three its getting shot.
I noticed jbrown is without a banner. We need to fix that.

I like mature gobbling turkeys. Once their dead I look at spurs then beard, then multiple beards, then weight. I am not picky when it comes to gobbling mature gobblers. The other stuff is just icing on the cake.

If I call in a gobbler I pull the trigger, then I run up to it with my fingers crossed that it has nice spurs. Long beards are great, but they don't accurately tell the maturity of the bird.....spurs do.
