Any of you trumpet makers ever glue up a mouthpiece and forget to blow the glue out/clean it out before it gets hard? I did that the other day and had a heck of a time drilling that thing out.

Joe I'm very careful on not using too much glue when I glue in the mouthpiece.  That being said every once in a while I have some glue fill in the hole.  I have a 12 inch long 1/8 inch diameter drill bit that I insert from the bell end and either turn it by hand or put in in a cordless drill and drill it out slowly.  This works like a charm to remove excess glue blocking the air passage through the mouthpiece.

Not yet.  I turn a groove a little ways in from the both ends. This is designed to catch any squeeze out.  I then apply glue to the center section of the tennon.

But if it were to happen I would think a pc of stiff wire would pop it out pretty quick.  Could even attach to the drill, with the smooth wire it should do little harm to the m.p.

I run a pipe cleaner through mine wile the glue is setting up to "try" and prevent this from happening.

I have a thin piece of taxidermy wire I run thru mine after I blow thru the call. I just had it happen the other day and had to drill from the bell end with my long 8th" drill bit. Luckily I was able to clear it out.
