Alabama locked it!

Just got word tonight that the land in Alabama that I had on the radar is locked in. Season opens March 15th! My cousin said he heard them gobbling this past saturday while deer hunting. You guys think they would be gobbling this time of year?  I heard some the first week of October gobbling here in GA. It has been rather warm this winter down here. Would that have them gobbling? I'm sure they will gobble all year at some points but he said 5 were blowing up the woods! Either way, Got me fired up!!!

They will gobble this time of year some days more then others, but this is when I'll start hearing them.

Great news man!  I wish I could find some land in the low country of SC.  They have been struttin and gobbling here also.  They do that all year, but like it was said, the weather has made it more frequent.  Good Luck on the land!

Just got a report from the alabama land. My cousin is out there now hunting deer. Seen 7 Jakes, 4 gobblers ( all at least 10" beards, and 10 hens. Boy i'm praying they stay around until March! Said they gobbled all morning and I'm guessing they are coming back to roost now.
