This is what I am doing, for whatever the hell that is worth.

I bought a camo Knoxx recoil reducing stock for $110, and a used 870 Supermag for $250. Putting the two together = a $360 turkey sniping machine.

Where did you find it for $110? Cheapest I can find is on cabelas for $130.

It was on sale at Cabelas Sunday. Cheaper than dirt has black for $90

I'll throw in a vote for the Benelli. Have not had any of the rattling or jamming problems mentioned earlier in the post. I've had mine for 4 years. Tough as nails, reliable day in day out, and along with an IC choke and hevi shot it throws a gobbler blistering pattern. Outfit it with a set of truglo gobble dot sights or a red dot of your choice, and you have a turkey killer in your hands.

Benelli Nova just don't short shuck it and it will not jam.

I'd recommend the Mossberg except for your requirement for a PG stock. The placement of the safety and slide release on Mossbergs is not really compatible with PG stocks, Mossberg's many models with one notwithstanding.

Try one before you buy.

Sounds good!  I just traded two old 2 3/4" guns in for a used 835.  So far I love it.
