So I have always wanted to shoot a bird with the gauges offered today. (10, 12, 16, 20, 28, .410) The problem I am having is that buying a 28ga just to shoot a bird or two is asking a lot out of the hunting fund. I was just looking at a shooting catalog and see they have gauge reducing adapters. So I could take my 12 ga and turn it into a 16 or 28 and be ready to go other than shells. I am thinking that a guy could find a single shot 12 ga cheap, get a choke for it and then try the reducer and ammo. Now that you have read this, you can do one of three things. Not reply and say that guy is nuts, tell me I am nuts, or say it could work. I am thinking outside the box and need your info.
