Flipped through my copy of Bass Pro's spring turkey catalog last night and noticed that Bone Collector merchandise has made it's way to turkey chokes via Truglo for $50.  I don't have a need for any more choke tubes.  I have enough (so my wife says) and will be staying with what works for me and many others here.  I'm sure someone will pick one up and pattern it and hopefully post their results.  They did one thing right and that was to make it HTL friendly.

I shot a prototype several months ago and it's an excellent turkey choke tube. It's made in both 12 gauge and 20 gauge for most shotgun types. As you said, it's rated for all lead and tungsten-based shot.

Thanks,

Clark, you test a lot of chokes.  What can you say about the ports on this one?  Looking at the picture, one would be concerned about the harder HTL shot damaging the choke like a Comp-n-choke.

3" 870 Shell Shucker

The 12 Gauge version is .667 in everything except the 835 & 935.

I understand. It's a very "beefy" choke tube and does not look at all vulnerable to damage from shot. There is a good bit of metal between the ported areas which are actually forward of the parallel section and the true muzzle with the .667 exit diameter.

I have only shot the prototype thus far and if what I see in it is the same in the production chokes, it should be a very good one.

just another scheme for waddell to make some money off of the so called bone collector series
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

TauntoHawk

agreed. Like Waddell and the BC crew but im not buying soemthing just because it was manufactured by someone else, Waddell stamps a bone collector logo on it and takes on an extra $10 bucks.

IF I buy a choke to try over the jellyhead its GOING to be from Sumtoy for american crafted and customer service.

BC choke is a little open for my taste anyways

I like Michael Waddell, but it seems like everything these days isn't cool unless it has the bone collector logo on it! Not having any of it! Indian Creek here!

I am looking to get a simple little REM SF choke that will handle Hevi Shot and load up with some Federal 7's. Think I will stick with what has proven to be a deadly combo for 20's.

Took the words right out of my mouth.   I'm tired of seeing Bone Collector logos on the people's windows who look like they've never hunted a day in their lives.

Kind of reminds me of people wearing "Fox Racing" clothing who have never ridden a snowmobile, dirtbike or ATV.

I'll be sticking with my American made Indian Creek BDS choke.    No fancy logos... just pure performance.
