We are still doing well in MT. I had to spend a few days in Eastern MT (Miles City) the week before Christmas. I had a chance to drive through some riverbottom country along the Musselshell that looked promising if permission can be obtained and I looped through the Custer NF that has similar terrain to that in the Pine Ridge of NE (a little more rugged). I've also been talking turkeys with our new pastor. He really loves pheasants, but hunts turkeys also. He has some connections south Helena that has birds, but any of the tags close by are by lottery and there aren't many of them available. Its likely I'll spend the Spring in the Eastern 1/3 of the state in a tent.
