I haven't tried the box kits, but my intro into making pot calls was with a couple of his pre-cut pots before I had my lathe. I ended up selling them on ebay and just made it clear in my listing that I only did the finish work on them. Wish everyone who sells those would state that there just the finisher. Some people build the kit and have it laser engraved and call it a custom call.
