Just got the video a short time ago. It feels weird seeing myself on the national stage! Here's the video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&v=m7FL5EIk9Ao

Sweet. So, what is the difference between the guys that finished ahead of you?  What do you need to do different?

The biggest difference is that they scored more points than me!  :TooFunny:
Seriously, I need to add some additional vocalizations and work on a vocalization that I've used before (very difficult to do) and I think it helped me win at a local event. I just wasn't comfortable trying it on the national stage.

That was cool!  Congrats and thanks for posting.

I haven't seen the owl calling contest in a while, does any one compete using their natural voice?

A few guys do. Not sure how they finish but they sound good.

:you_rock: Good luck Shane on the Midwest Calling championship. Pretty neat prizes, and I think winning qualifies you for Nationals. Shane hasn't been on much due to practicing his butt off. I plan on getting up there if I can skip out of work early next Saturday.

Mid-Iowa Classic you mean? :) Thanks Jay. Practicing is using some of my time but my job is the real killer. 50 plus hours a week but I won't be complaining come payday.  ;D Hope to see you there!

I've had good results the past two years in SD with crow and goose calls and I've got both of those!  ;)

I wonder what the birds in MS though last season when you hit that goose call.... cause we only hear that during winter time down my way...
