Read about every post here in the gun section.

Got my mind set on a 935, will be trying to locate a used one in the next few weeks...unless any of you have any good reason to change my mind.

Thanks

They are great guns in my experience. I've had one for a while now, hunted with it and it throws great patterns. It would certainly be one of my choices and I think you'd get good service from it.

Thanks,
Clark

Never used one myself but I carry the 835 and love it.  I think you will be very satisfied with it.  Got a buddy that uses one after he has killed one or two with his 20 gauge and he seems to like it pretty good.

Local fun store says $599 + tax.
That's the camo version, adj. sights, 24" barrel.

That sound pretty reasonable?

I'm not a big fan of the 935's. I had to buddies that owned them and had some type of plastic retention arm break??????  I have an 835 and a Benelli SBE 2.
One thing I do have to saw about the 935/835's however. They can throw some FANTASTIC patterns. I attribute it to their overbored barrels. My 835 definitely patterns better than mt SBE 2.

I've heard, or at least read on the web, about the retention plate breaking.

I don't think I'll let that deter me as I can't see it being a problem to make another out of aluminum or something that will hold up.

The patterning ability everyone raves about is the main reason I'm going the 935 route, price isn't too bad either and that always helps.

Don't think you will be disappointed in the 935 Holston. I love mine and she holds a pretty good pattern, even with the 22" barrel. That's her to the left in my avatar with a little proof of how true she is! Good luck with your purchase and the upcoming season.
I have the BFOTP!

If I could save a bit I'd definitely go with the black version.
