Today I didn't title this devotional, as it covers such a broad spectrum of life and its challenges, there are three verses I want to share with you this morning, each coming from the book of Proverbs, chapter 21...." Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts." " The righteous man wisely consdiereth the house of the wicked: but God overthroweth the wicked in their wickedness." " There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord."
Today's world is so full of temptation, or should I say the access to temptation seems to be so easily acquired, the world makes it look so good....for instance, Gambling casinos..."easy winnings" "we help the Vet!" "we pay for schools and streets".....come on who is going to believe this stuff? THE MAN WHO IS NOT WARY OF ENTERING THE WICKEDNESS AND THEIR HOUSE THAT'S WHO....Men see through their eyes, God sees through the Righteousness and Holiness of His Self. The Devil knows this, why do you think there are so many billboards advertising such filth? When man kind begins to see through eyes of righteousness, he will soon find out that these tempestuous offerings of wickedness are just ploys of Satan.
The world offers you and I false hope and imitation of safe harboring, through material gains and lies of the unfaithful, there is no truer counseling then the soothing words of God, and no matter what the world has to offer us, it is always, let me emphasize...always, temporal..... for there is no permanent fix to man's woes other then through Christ Jesus. There is no quick fix to eternal damnation. There is only the permanency of Christ. Consider this if you will, look at your surroundings, take a good honest look, do they honor God or the world? Listen to yourself all day long....are your words glorifying God or the world? Follow your footsteps, see where they are really leading you.....it is not too late, you CAN change the direction you are currently traveling, you CAN offer up a Sacrifice of Praise to the awaiting ears and heart of God, and this is proved in verse 21 of the 21st chapter of Proverbs, "He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness and honour."
