I've got a remington 1100 LT 20 ga that was my first shotgun. I've gotten the full size stock on it and am looking to make my new turkey gun. Only problem is that it only has a 2 3/4 in chamber.

I'm wanting to to lengthen the chamber to be able to shoot 3 inch shells. Whats the average cost of the at the gunsmith and/or have any of you guys done this and what is your experience with it? Thanks!

I may be wrong but I dont think that can be done. Also you have a 2 3/4 in receiver. Dont think it will accept 3 in. shells.

I had seen on here that a member had done it and said that his was able to accept 3 inch shells supposedly, thanks for the heads up, probably not the safest thing to do anyway.

Been thinking about using the Fed HW #7's with a rem SF choke w/a 21 inch barrel, was hopin to use the 3 in but lookin like I'll just settle for 2 3/4.

CB on the run

It can be done w/o any safety issues as was mine.  Since you a PM.

Thanks CB. How much work is involved in doing that ? I have a 2 3/4 Wingmaster that might need a face lift.
