No fall turkey season here, but deer season opened with a bang today.

8:39 this morning.  125 1/8".  Dressed 135 lbs.  Not a monster but I'm tickled.  Respectable by E. TX standards.  Biologist checked him at processing facility, 3.5 yrs. old.

Nice deer, What do you shoot him with?

Thanks folks.  Took him with a Browning A-Bolt II 25.06 with Winchester Supreme Ballistic Tip Silvertips.  My first buck with the high shoulder shot.  Dropped him right in his tracks at 140 yards.  I BELIEVE in the drop shot now.  Notice he was in a gas pipeline?  No tracking job that morning!
