Anyone had that happen?
I picked up a redirect virus on Thursday and could not detect and destroy it with several programs, including ESET NOD 32, MS Security Essentials, Malwarebytes, Ad Aware, Spybot, CCleaner, and Trojan Remover. I finally got rid of it by using TDSS Killer by Kaspersky. I may have to go back to Kaspersky after this being disappointed with ESET.
I was looking at video features of a synthetic gun stock for an M-14, it was not even anything salacious. The redirect started happening right after that, but one can never be sure.
I'd like to see an international treaty to outlaw worms, viruses, trojans, spam, and junk mail followed by long federal prison sentences and statutes allowing people to sue for money damages.
In reality, I'd like to see the ones that create and spread them have their hands cut off like in muslim law to prevent them from ever using a computer again, but I know I could not get everyone to go along with that.
